In celebration of National Intern Day, DCCM is recognizing the 24 interns and co-op students who have brought their talents, curiosity, and fresh perspectives to our teams this year.
Representing 17 colleges, universities, and high schools, these students are gaining firsthand experience across engineering, surveying, environmental services, accounting, and other areas of our business. Along the way, they are applying what they have learned, exploring potential career paths, and building connections with professionals throughout DCCM.
Georgia
Five students joined our Georgia offices this summer. The Gainesville team welcomed JP Aguilar, a senior at Kennesaw State University; Zoie Holland, a third-year student at the University of Georgia; Kaylee Brunson, a sophomore at the University of Georgia; and Carter Hanley, a sophomore at the University of Missouri.
In Fayetteville, Logan Allen joined the team while completing his fifth year at the Florida Institute of Technology.
Indiana
In Indiana, five interns are building experience across several DCCM service areas. Nicholas Casler, a student at Purdue University Fort Wayne, and Jonathan Lucero II, a student at Purdue University, joined the roadway team.
Madison Aaron of Anderson University is working with the water and wastewater team, while Tucker Lara of Vincennes University is gaining experience in surveying. Eva Altschul, a Purdue University student, is working across environmental services, hydraulics, and water and wastewater.
Texas
Seven students joined our Houston office this summer, including four Aggies: Rocky Streiner, Alejandra Sarabia, Nicholas Magnus, and David Xue, all from Texas A&M University.
The Houston intern group also includes Cash Reese of Schreiner University, Elijah Pharis of the University of Houston, and Joshua Morris of The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Florida
Our North Florida team welcomed students at several stages of their educational journeys. Gil Fritz of the University of Central Florida, Dennis Rehm of the University of North Florida, and MarkAnthony Osborne of Creekside High School joined the team as interns.
University of North Florida students Lauren Catillo and Kasey Van Wert are also gaining extended professional experience as co-op students.
Our Central Florida team welcomed interns representing two areas of the business. Maddux Walton, an accounting intern from Florida Southern College, is gaining experience supporting DCCM’s business operations. Katelyn Kruy, a civil engineering intern from Florida Polytechnic University, is exploring the technical side of the industry.
Learning, Contributing, and Growing
National Intern Day is an opportunity to recognize not only what interns learn during their time with an organization, but also what they contribute. Their questions can introduce new perspectives, their enthusiasm brings energy to our teams, and their experiences help strengthen the future of our industry.
We are proud to celebrate this year’s interns and co-op students and appreciate the contributions they have made across DCCM. We also thank the employees who are sharing their knowledge, providing mentorship, and helping these students take the next steps in their professional journeys.
