DCCM is proud to announce the promotion of Jack Shick, PE, PTOE, to Managing Director, Traffic Engineering, Texas. This promotion reflects the company’s commitment to strategic growth and the continued expansion of its transportation practice across Texas.
Jack brings more than 25 years of experience in traffic and transportation engineering, with a proven record of delivering innovative solutions for complex projects. His expertise spans traffic data collection, modeling, signal warrant analysis, safety analysis, traffic control design, signal timing development, and traffic calming. Jack has managed and designed traffic signal systems, conducted intersection analyses, and developed traffic solutions for a wide range of clients. Notably, he led the development of TxDOT’s new Cluster Analysis Guidebook and will present on this topic at the 2026 Spring TexITE Meeting in Houston on April 9.
Since joining DCCM in 2022 as a Sr. Project Manager, Jack has played a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s traffic engineering capabilities. His leadership has been instrumental in projects such as the SH 40 Traffic Modeling in College Station, the University Line Bus Rapid Transit Traffic Modeling in Houston, and on-call traffic engineering services for the City of Pearland. Jack’s technical acumen and collaborative approach have consistently resulted in safer, more efficient transportation networks for communities across the region.
In his new role, Jack will focus on developing partnerships, growing the firm’s traffic practice, and leading strategic and complex traffic engineering projects. His vision and dedication will help drive the company’s mission to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and communities.
